Why I Am Running
I am not a career politician. I am a proven leader who has spent my life in service to others — in uniform, at 40,000 feet, and on the ground in Jefferson County. I understand high-stakes decision-making, operational accountability, and what it means to put others before yourself.
I am running for the Colorado State Assembly, House District 25, because the people of this district deserve a representative who has lived the values of honesty, integrity and tenacity – not just talked about them. I am committed to bringing integrity and experience to the State Assembly.

I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force and graduated #1 in my pilot training class, earning the prestigious Commander’s Trophy. I flew B-52 bombers, serving in one of the Air Force’s most demanding operational roles.
I love flying. So, I transitioned to a 34-year career with United Airlines, where I ultimately retired as a 787 Captain in 2022.
After 9/11, I volunteered for the Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) program, which authorizes select commercial pilots to be armed in defense of their passengers and crew.
Aviation demands the same qualities voters deserve in representation: precision, accountability, sound judgment under pressure and an unwavering commitment to the people depending on him.
At Home in Colorado
I’ve called Colorado home since 1971. I graduated from Niwot High School and Metropolitan State University. I cherish this community and my neighbors, and I believe they deserve a representative who fights for them.
My Community Service
I’ve served my community for more than 30 years. As a volunteer and Lifetime Member of the Denver Children's Foundation, I’ve raised vital funds for Denver Kids, Inc. and the Tennyson Center through signature events like the Denver Polo Tournament – the nation's largest charitable polo event – and the annual Christmas for Kids program.

I’ve given guidance to teens through the “I Have a Dream” Foundation, helping them navigate some of life’s most critical transitions.

I began serving as an active volunteer firefighter in 2016, responding as part of Genesee Fire/Rescue to wildland fires and protecting mountain communities with calm and courage.
